Just prior to the commencement of the matches, an elderly gentleman at one of the other matches was taken ill and a call was made for anyone with any medical background. Gursharanjit stepped forward being a member of St John Ambulance and provided assistance.
He waited beside the patient until paramedics arrived and conducted their assesment. All this took well over an hour and the players agreed that due to the circumstances the game should be declared null and void.
The patient recovered well at the scene and went home afterwards.
