On Monday 25th November West London travelled to Ealing to play in the first round of the Hillingdon Knockout Cup. Ealing fielded a much weaker team than expected due to a fixtures clash and the match went well for us.
Eldar and Andreea comfortably saw off their lower-graded opponents.
I had a fairly easy win, which left Colum and Russ’s games. Both their opponents played quite well and had fairly level positions, but both blundered a piece eventually.
A solid start to the Cup season.
