West London Chess Club was founded in 1893 and caters for players of all types and abilities. Members can play competitive games for our first teams in the Middlesex, London and Hillingdon Leagues. You can play friendly or 'blitz' games most Wednesdays and a number of internal club tournaments are organised. Take a look at who we are on the photo page.
The Junior Club is normally on Saturday mornings at the Town Hall. Tuition is given by Meri Grigoryan, a Woman FIDE Master who is a West London Chess Club member and a ECF Accredited Coach. See the Junior Page for more information and the next meeting dates.
FIDE Master Mark Lyell will be holding a chess analysis workshop on the 20th May, starting at 7.30 pm. The cost is £5 for members and £7 for non-members. If you are interested, please contact Mark Lyell.

After what was a very close and exciting end to the seson, West London's London League team ended up top in the London League. This ensures promotion into Division 2. Check out the league table -well don team!
Update: It turns out that because Wimbledon fielded an ineligable player vs Lewisham, Lewisham get an extra ½-point, finishing on the same 8 match points as West London. Because Lewisham have 2½ more game points, they snatch the league victory from us. Both West London and Lewisham are promoted.
